Seth Beer goes 28th Overall in 2018 MLB Draft

With the #28 overall pick in the 2018 MLB Draft tonight, the Houston Astros selected Clemson outfielder Seth Beer.

Beer finished with a .321 career batting average in three years at Clemson. His offensive production was a vital piece that aided Clemson in hosting a regional for the past three seasons, totaling 208 hits, 172 runs, 41 doubles, 1 triple, 177 RBIs, and 56 home runs. Beer's 56 career home runs leads all active Division 1 baseball players.

He finished behind only Jeff Baker (59), Andy D'Alessio (59), and Michael Johnson (58) in career home runs in Clemson history.
