ACC Operation Basketball Set For Wednesday


GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference will host its annual basketball media day on Wednesday, October 24, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

A live video of the press conference room will be available on ACC Network Extra via the ESPN app, as well as theACC.com.

ATTENDING PLAYERS

Ky Bowman, Jr., Boston College

ACC All-Tournament second team pick and third-team All-ACC honoree as a sophomore in 2017-18 … averaged 17.6 points and 6.8 rebounds.

Jordan Chatman, Sr., Boston College

Third on the team in scoring in 2017-18 at 12.9 points per game … ranked among the ACC’s 3-point leading shooters, going 87-for-220 from beyond the arc (.395).

Marcquise Reed, Sr., Clemson

A second-team All-ACC choice a year ago, Reed turned in one of the best seasons ever by a Clemson guard leading the team in scoring (15.8) and steals (58).

Shelton Mitchell, Sr., Clemson

Averaged 12.2 points per games as a junior in 2017-18 ... led the Tigers in assists at 3.6 per game ... finished third in the ACC in free throw percentage (.857).

Javin DeLaurier, Jr., Duke

Played in all 33 games he was available in 2017-18, missing four games with a leg injury … averaged career highs in points (3.4), rebounds (4.0) and minutes (12.7).

Jack White, Jr., Duke

Played in 28 games as a sophomore in 2017-18, averaging 5.7 minutes per contest and 1.5 rebounds per game ... had a career-high five points against Notre Dame (1/29).

Terance Mann, Sr., Florida State

Averaged 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 2017-18 ... three points shy of becoming the 37th player in school history to reach the 1,000-point career mark.

Phil Cofer, Sr., Florida State

Averaged a team-high 12.8 points, a career-high 5.1 rebounds and a career-high 29.3 minutes played as a starter in each of the Seminoles’ 35 games in 2017-18.

Jose Alvarado, So., Georgia Tech

Started every game as Georgia Tech’s primary point guard in 2017-18, averaging 12.1 points and 3.1 assists before suffering a season-ending elbow injury in early February.

Brandon Alston, Sr., Georgia Tech

Averaged 5.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists as a junior a year ago ... played in all 32 games, including 19 as a starter.

V.J. King, Jr., Louisville

Started all 36 games for the Cardinals last season … ranked fourth on the team in scoring with 8.6 ppg and fifth in rebounding at 3.3 rpg … played 25.4 minutes per game.

Christen Cunningham, Gr., Louisville

Transfer from Samford ... elected as a team captain for this season with V.J. King ... ranks 13th on Samford’s all-time scoring list with 1,283 career points.

Dewan Hernandez, Jr., Miami

Averaged 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds per game as a sophomore in 2017-18 … only Miami player to start all 32 games ... ranked 14th in ACC in rebounding (6.6).

Anthony Lawrence II, Sr., Miami

Played in all 32 games a year ago, with 31 starts, including 17 in ACC play ... averaged 8.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Cameron Johnson, Gr., North Carolina

Second on the team in free throw percentage (.847), third in scoring (12.4) and rebounding (4.7) ... made 47 of 138 from three-point range (.341).

Kenny Williams, Sr., North Carolina

Fourth on the team in scoring at a career-high 11.4 points per game as a junior in 2017-18 … averaged 12.5 points per game in the ACC Tournament.

Torin Dorn, Sr., NC State

One of the Wolfpack’s most versatile players in 2017-18 …started 32 of 33 games and ranked second on the team with 13.9 ppg while shooting .531 from the field.

C.J. Bryce, Jr., NC State

Sat out last season after transferring from UNC-Wilmington where he led the team in scoring (17.4) and earned First-Team All-CAA selection in 2016-17.

T.J. Gibbs, Jr., Notre Dame

One of two Notre Dame players to start all 36 games in 2017-18 … 15.3 ppg average ranked third on the team ... led the Irish in minutes played with 37.4 per game.

Rex Pflueger, Sr., Notre Dame

Averaged 8.0 ppg last season while playing 32.9 minutes per contest … finished 10th in the ACC in assist/turnover ratio (2.15).

Jared Wilson-Frame, Sr., Pitt

Started 23 of 32 games played as a JUCO transfer in 2017-18 … averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Malik Ellison, Jr., Pitt

Joined the program as a transfer after playing his first two seasons at St. John’s ... played in 57 games, making 35 starts, in his two seasons with the Red Storm.

Tyus Battle, Jr., Syracuse

Earned second team All-ACC recognition in 2017-18 ... named to the All-ACC Academic Team … ranked third in the ACC in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game.

Frank Howard, Sr., Syracuse

Led the ACC in steals (2.0) as a junior last season … ranked fifth in the ACC in assists (5.2) and 13th in scoring (15.2) ... averaged 15.3 points per game in ACC play.

Kyle Guy, Jr., Virginia

Named the MVP of the 2018 ACC Tournament after averaging 16.7 points per game … led UVA in scoring in 15 games and led Cavaliers with 14.1 ppg.

Jack Salt, Sr., Virginia

Team tri-captain ... started 34 games a year ago ... averaged 3.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game ... led the Cavaliers in rebounds seven times.

Ahmed Hill, Sr., Virginia Tech

Played in 33 games with 23 starts last season … one of five Hokies to average double figures, scoring at a 10.6 ppg clip … shot .490 from the floor ... has 1,014 career points.

Ty Outlaw, Sr., Virginia Tech

Suffered a torn ACL in July 2017 and missed the entire 2017-18 season ... averaged 6.3 points, 2.8 rebounds per game and shot .487 from 3-point range in 2016-17.

Brandon Childress, Jr., Wake Forest

Averaged 9.1 points per game as a sophomore … son of associate head coach Randolph Childress and the pair are the highest scoring father-son duo in ACC history with 2,699 points.

Chaundee Brown, So., Wake Forest

Averaged 7.6 points while making 29 starts as a freshman … had four 20-point games, including three against ACC opponents … had nine double-figure scoring games.
