Add another notch in the win column for the All-In Cookout. Five-star cornerback Andrew Booth from Lawrenceville, Georgia (Archer HS) announced his long-awaited commitment to Clemson on Monday afternoon, via a Twitter post. Booth had been the Tigers' #1 target for quite some time now and landing his commitment is a huge win for the Clemson coaching staff.

Auburn had gained a lot of momentum in Booth's recruitment over the past few weeks and months, and had even taken a slight 54%-46% lead over Clemson in the 247 Sports Crystal Ball Predictions last week. Then came the All-In Cookout on Friday. Booth brought what felt like his entire family with him to the event, as he competed in games and contests alongside fellow recruits and close friends Sheridan Jones and Joseph Charleston, both Clemson commits.

The visit went very well according to all reports, but bigger news broke Saturday after the event concluded when reports leaked that Booth would not be attending Auburn's summer recruiting event over the weekend, an event he had planned to attend. Many thought this meant Clemson had secured Booth's commitment at the Cookout, and the announcement today confirmed these speculations.

Booth becomes Clemson's 22nd commit for the 2019 recruiting class and the second five-star, joining wide receiver Frank Ladson Jr. Maybe more notably, Booth is Clemson's fifth commitment in as many days, joining linebacker LaVonta Bentley, wide receiver Joe Ngata, and defensive Etinosa Reuben as 2019 commits, along with 2020 linebacker Sergio Allen who got the festivities started Thursday night with a surprise commitment.

Four of the five commitments are almost directly related to the highly successful 2018 edition of the All-In Cookout, a recruiting event that had been fruitful in the past, but never to this degree.

Booth measures in at 6'1"/190 pounds and is an elite cover corner, with blazing speed and incredible instincts. His footwork and hips are both extremely smooth and fluid, which allows him to completely swallow any receiver he lines up against.

In fact, his coverage skills are so elite, he only managed one interception last season at Archer High School due to the lack of targets his direction. Booth is a composite five-star, and ranked as highly as the #32 player in the country by 247 Sports and the #3 cornerback.

Clemson secured Booth's commitment despite constant pressure from Auburn and in-state Georgia. Booth had offers from every powerhouse program you can think of, including Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and over 20 others. Booth will join four-star corner Sheridan Jones as Clemson's only cornerback commits in the 2019 class, as the two will create a dynamic tandem in the coming years in the Tiger secondary.
