4 Star Cornerback Commits to Clemson

Clemson added to their future secondary tonight with the commitment of cornerback Sheridan Jones.

Jones, 6-1 and 170 pounds, is a 4 star prospect across all recruiting services. He was one of the many recruits that was on hand for Clemson’s Orange and White spring game on April 14th.

In a ironic series of events, he has committed to the Tigers following a recent visit at Alabama.

Jones chose the Tigers over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Tennessee among others.

Jones becomes Clemson’s eighth commitment for the 2019 class. He joins safeties Joseph Charleston and Lanndon Zanders, wide receivers Brannon Spector and Frank Ladson, tight end Jaelyn Lay, punter Aidan Swanson, linebacker Bryton Constantin, running back Chez Mellusi and quarterback Taisun Phommachanh.

As they are trying to follow their 2018 class, which secured the top rated player in five different states, Clemson now has commitments from seven states towards the 2019 class.
