After winning the first two of their series last weekend against rival Miami, many thought Martin would get his 1,976th win over longtime Hurricanes coach Jim Morris. With Sunday’s game on the brink of the history books, Morris and the Canes pushed back the date with an 11-5 victory.
Why would winning his 1,976th game be important? Martin would break his tie with former Texas coach Augie Garrido for the most wins in college baseball history at 1,975 wins.
-On Friday night, history was made in Clemson.
