Clemson received a major boost in its lineup last week with the NCAA granting Khavon Moore’s transfer request waiver, allowing Moore to become immediately eligible for the 2019-20 season. Moore is a transfer from Texas Tech and played just two minutes last season.
Clemson owns a 57-18-1 overall record against Presbyterian in the all-time series.
The Tigers have won eight in a row in the series dating back to the 1972-73 season.
The overall series dates back to 1915-16 where the only tie happened in Clemson, 39-39.
Clemson is 35-8-1 all-time against Presbyterian on its home floor.
Clemson has not lost to Presbyterian since the 1954-55 season in which they lost at home 81-75 and on the road 92-56.
Brad Brownell started an all-freshmen backcourt (Al-Amir Dawes & Chase Hunter) for the first time in his Clemson career vs Virginia Tech. The last time two freshmen started a game at Clemson was back in 2004-05. Brownell hasn‘t started a freshman since Donte Grantham in 2014.
Dawes and Hunter combined for 18 points in their collegiate debut.
Brownell (169-128) is going for his 170th victory at Clemson which would get him within seven victories of tying the Clemson record held by Cliff Ellis (177-128).
