After five straight road games for the Tigers, a stretch where they went 3-2 overall with a 2-1 series win at Louisville, they finally got to play at Doug Kingsmore again and they brought their bats with them.
Four runs batted in from Seth Beer helped lead Clemson past Boston College 10-2 on Thursday. Beer drove in runs on a single in the sixth and a home run in the eighth.
In the first inning, Clemson got their offense started. Robert Jolly doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring three runs.
Clemson notched three runs in the eighth inning and scored its runs on an RBI home run by Beer.
Jacob Hennessy was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. He lasted six innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out four. Spencer Strider and Bo Gobin entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Jacob Stevens took the loss for Boston College. He surrendered five runs on five hits over five innings, striking out four.
Clemson tallied nine hits on the day. Patrick Cromwell and Beer each had multiple hits for the Tigers. Beer and Cromwell each collected two hits to lead the team.
Chris Galland went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Boston College in hits.
