CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson Softball team took the field at the Clemson Softball Stadium for the first time Monday afternoon in the team’s first-ever practice at the stadium. Monday’s practice marked the 240th day since Clemson University officials broke ground on Feb. 2, 2019.

“Today’s practice at the Stadium was another milestone moment for our program,” said Clemson Head Coach John Rittman. “You could feel the excitement and anticipation that everyone had knowing we’d be out on the field today. And then, having it all come together was a such as special moment for our players and staff.”

The Tigers are set to kick off their fall schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 2 in a scrimmage against Erskine College at 6 p.m. on the campus of Southern Wesleyan University. After Wednesday’s scrimmage, Clemson is set to face five additional opponents throughout the month of October. For the Tigers’ 2019 fall schedule, click here.
